Planning a holiday with your four-legged friend? In 2026, along the Polish Baltic coast, you will find a dozen or so designated dog beaches, and in many places you can also use unguarded beaches. However, there is no single nationwide rule specifying where dogs may enter the sand. Regulations are set by municipalities, so before each outing it is worth checking the signage at the specific entrance.

The good news? From Świnoujście all the way to the Tricity, the choice is truly extensive. There are both small, designated sections and places from which you can set off with your dog for a long walk along the seashore.

Below you will find a list of dog beaches along the Baltic coast, updated for 2026, with entrance numbers, locations and the most important rules.

Important: local regulations may change from one season to the next. Always treat the entrance number and the signs located directly by the beach as the most important source of information.

Of course, this does not mean that entering with a four-legged companion is always prohibited outside the places listed. In many resorts, restrictions primarily apply to bathing areas and selected sections during the season. Therefore, a dog-friendly beach may also be available outside the officially marked zone—always in accordance with local regulations.

The Tri-City and Hel Peninsula—where can you find dog-friendly beaches?

Gdańsk-Brzeźno—Psia Stacja at entrance no. 34

One of the best-known places is Gdańsk’s Psia Stacja in Brzeźno. You will find it at entrance no. 34, level with the park. The designated zone is approximately 100 metres long.

A major advantage of Gdańsk is that you can also use unsupervised beaches with your dog, of course while following the applicable rules. So if you are not specifically looking for a typical dog beach, you have more options than in many smaller resorts.

Brzeźno is a particularly good choice if, during your holiday, you want to combine a stay by the sea with sightseeing in the Tri-City.

Sopot—dog beach between entrances 43 and 45

In Sopot, the section designated for four-legged companions runs from entrance no. 43 in the area of Hestii Street to entrance no. 45 near the border with Gdańsk.

This is a convenient location for people staying in the southern part of the city. You can combine beach time with a longer walk, but during the season be sure to pay attention to the signs marking the neighbouring sections.

Gdynia—Kolibki and Babie Doły/Oksywie

Gdynia has two locations traditionally identified as dog-friendly. The first is in the Kolibki area, near Orłowo. The second is in the north of the city, on the border between Babie Doły and Oksywie.

Kolibki is particularly appealing if you are not interested solely in lying on the sand. There are walking areas nearby, making it easy to combine a visit to the beach with a longer outing.

Jastarnia—dog beach at entrance no. 55

If you are choosing the Hel Peninsula, remember the number 55. The designated dog beach in Jastarnia is on the Jurata side, and this entrance is the easiest way to reach it.

This is a convenient solution for people who want to relax on the peninsula but do not want to wonder every day which section they can enter with their pet.

Kuźnica—entrance no. 31

Another specific location on the peninsula is Kuźnica. The dog-friendly beach is indicated at entrance no. 31, from the Chałupy side.

In the case of Chałupy, Hel and the remaining sections of the peninsula, it is worth checking the rules locally. Restrictions on entering with dogs may change, so always check the signs at the beach entrance first.

Dębki, Białogóra and Karwia—dog-friendly beaches closest to Rozewie

If you are staying in the area of Jastrzębia Góra and Rozewie, you do not have to travel far to find a good place for a day at the beach with your four-legged companion.

Dębki—dog beach at entrance no. 18

Dębki is one of the best destinations in this part of the coast. The official dog zone is located at entrance no. 18, on the eastern side of the village, towards Karwia.

In the 2026 season, it is worth paying particular attention to the central bathing area at entrances 19–21. According to the latest information, dogs are prohibited there from 1 May to 30 September. Outside the season, access to the beach is much less restricted.

Entrance no. 18 leads to a quieter section of beach than the most popular part of Dębki. This is a significant advantage, especially if your dog does not like crowds.

Białogóra—entrance no. 32

Another dog beach is located in Białogóra, at entrance no. 32. The village is quieter than the largest seaside resorts, while the wide beaches and surrounding woodland are well suited to holidays with an active dog.

This is also an interesting destination if you value walks and contact with nature more than promenades and tourist attractions.

Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie—entrance no. 4

Near Karwia, there is one more location worth remembering: entrance no. 4 in Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie. It is regularly indicated as a place accessible to dog owners.

On this section, it is particularly important to follow the local rules concerning leashes and muzzles.

Karwia—look for sections outside bathing areas

In Karwia itself, the safest approach is to head for beaches outside the designated bathing areas. Do not assume that the entire long beach has a single set of regulations—check the current information boards before entering.

Thanks to its proximity to Rozewie, Karwia is nevertheless one of the most practical options for a short trip with a dog.

Łeba, Rowy and Darłowo—dog beaches in Central Pomerania

Łeba—Beach B

In Łeba, the best-known option is Beach B on the western side of the town. The easiest way to head there is from Jachtowa or Turystyczna Street. Approximately 300 metres of beach is designated for people walking with four-legged companions.

It is worth remembering that the area around Łeba borders Słowiński National Park. Separate nature-protection rules apply in the park, so do not treat the park beaches like ordinary urban beaches.

Rowy—dog beach near Wczasowa Street

The dog beach in Rowy is located outside the town's busiest area. Access leads towards the last entrance from Wczasowa Street, followed by the red trail.

This is a good location for people who prefer walking instead of sitting all day on one patch of sand. The regulations available for this section state that dogs must be kept on a leash and muzzled, so check the current sign before entering.

Darłowo - two dog beaches

Darłowo gives dog owners a choice between two sides of the town.

On the western side, you will find a section near 2 Mała Street, while on the eastern side there is one near 24 Słowiańska Street.

This is a practical solution because, regardless of which part of Darłówko you are staying in, you do not have to drive through the entire town just to find a suitable beach.

Pogorzelica, Niechorze, Międzyzdroje and Świnoujście - dog beaches in the west

Pogorzelica - entrance no. 2

In Pogorzelica, head towards beach entrance no. 2 at Morska Street. This is one of the specific locations worth saving before your trip.

As in other towns, check the signs with the current regulations on site - especially if you are planning a holiday in July or August.

Niechorze - entrance no. 18 at Klifowa Street

The dog beach in Niechorze is located at entrance no. 18 from the Klifowa Street side, not far from the lighthouse.

The zone is approximately 100 metres long, sandy, unfenced and free of charge. It is one of the better-described sections of the western coast, making it easy to plan a visit before arrival.

Międzyzdroje - sectors L-M

In Międzyzdroje, look for the dog beach near 80 Gryfa Pomorskiego Street, in the section marked as sectors L-M.

This location is away from the busiest part of the town beach. Outside the season, the other sections are more widely accessible, but it is always worth checking the current rules before entering.

Świnoujście - dog beach at Uzdrowiskowa Street

Świnoujście has one of the best-known dog beaches in Poland. The special section is located at the end of Uzdrowiskowa Street, in the Stawa Młyny area.

The zone covers more than 1000 m² and is marked with bilingual signs. There are also bins and sets for cleaning up after animals.

If you are looking for a well-marked, official space, this is one of the most interesting options on the western coast.

Can you take a dog to every beach on the Baltic Sea?

No. And this is where most misunderstandings arise. Poland does not have one nationwide set of regulations for all beaches. The rules are determined by local authorities and bathing area managers. In one town, a dog may use all unguarded sections, while just a dozen kilometres away, more restrictive regulations may apply.

So the three most important things are: the entrance sign, the current regulations of the municipality, and the regulations of the bathing area.

Even on a designated dog beach, you cannot always let your pet run without restrictions. In some places, a leash is required, and local regulations may impose additional muzzle-related obligations.

One rule is universal, however: clean up after your dog. Do not bury excrement in the sand, and always carry a supply of bags with you.

Outside the season, dogs have more freedom - but check local regulations

Autumn, winter and early spring are a great time to visit the Baltic Sea with a dog. The beaches are then almost empty, temperatures are more comfortable for animals, and in many towns seasonal restrictions cease to apply.

However, do not automatically assume the dates are 1 June-30 September. The period during which bans apply may be different. A good example is Dębki, where the period indicated for the central bathing area is 1 May-30 September.

Therefore, check the current municipal regulations before every trip. It only takes a few minutes and saves unnecessary stress on site.

What to take to a dog beach?

A dog needs slightly different equipment for a day at the beach than a person does. Fresh water is the most important thing. Do not allow your pet to regularly drink water from the Baltic Sea - salt can cause stomach problems and further worsen dehydration.

A collapsible bowl, a supply of bags, a towel and a long lead will also come in handy. If you plan to spend more time on the sand, be sure to provide your dog with shade.

A beach tent for dogs can be a very practical solution, especially for small, elderly and short-nosed animals. A small parasol can serve a similar purpose. A cooling mat is also useful on a hot day.

So above all, take:

  • fresh water and a collapsible bowl,

  • waste bags,

  • a leash or long lead,

  • an ID tag,

  • a towel,

  • a tent or parasol providing shade,

  • a cooling mat for hot days,

  • a toy that floats on water.

Also remember the temperature of the sand. On a sunny day, it can heat up so much that walking on it will be unpleasant for your dog.

Dog beaches near Rosevia Resort & SPA - where to go from Rozewie?

If you are staying at Rosevia Resort & SPA, the greatest advantage is its location between Jastrzębia Góra, Karwia and the Hel Peninsula. You therefore do not have to plan an all-day trip to find a place for a walk with your dog by the Baltic Sea. The nearest options are approximately as follows:

Direction from Rosevia

Type of location

Approximate travel time*

Karwia

beaches outside bathing areas

approx. 10–15 min

Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie, entrance 4

designated dog-friendly section

approx. 15–20 min

Białogóra, entrance 32

approx. 25–30 min

Kuźnica, entrance 31

beach on the Hel Peninsula

approx. 30–40 min

Jastarnia, entrance 55

designated dog beach

approx. 40–50 min

*Times are approximate and depend on traffic; during summer weekends, the journey may take considerably longer.

At Rosevia Resort & SPA, guests have direct access to the beach through a beech forest. The resort welcomes small and medium-sized dogs upon prior notification and acceptance by the property. In the apartment, pets are provided with, among other things, a mat, bowl, welcome treat and toy, while designated walking areas equipped with bins and waste bags are available throughout the resort.

It is worth distinguishing between two things: a dog-friendly hotel does not automatically mean that every adjacent section of beach is an official dog beach. Before heading down to the beach with your four-legged friend, always check the current signage and local regulations.

FAQ – dog beaches along the Baltic coast

Where along the Baltic coast are there dog beaches?

Designated dog beaches can be found, among other places, in Gdańsk-Brzeźno, Sopot, Gdynia, Jastarnia, Kuźnica, Dębki, Białogóra, Karwieńskie Błoto Drugie, Łeba, Rowy, Darłowo, Pogorzelica, Niechorze, Międzyzdroje and Świnoujście. In many towns, there are also unguarded beaches where local regulations permit visitors to stay with their pets.

Can you take a dog onto the beach?

Yes, but not every beach. There is no single nationwide ban on bringing dogs onto beaches. Restrictions result from the local regulations of municipalities and bathing areas. The safest option is to use designated dog beaches or check the regulations for a specific entrance before going for a walk.

Which beach is the most dog-friendly?

If clearly designated facilities are important to you, Świnoujście, Gdańsk-Brzeźno and Dębki are worth considering. If, on the other hand, you value long walks and more peaceful surroundings, Białogóra and the sections around Karwia and Karwieńskie Błoto are interesting options.

Are dog beaches paid?

Public dog beaches along the Baltic coast are generally accessible without an admission fee. However, you may have to pay for parking, toilets or additional facilities located nearby.

Does a dog have to wear a muzzle on the beach?

There is no single rule that applies along the entire Polish coast. Requirements concerning leashes and muzzles result from local regulations. For example, some sections in Rowy and Karwieńskie Błoto have more restrictive requirements. Always check the sign at the entrance.

To the Baltic coast with your pet? You don’t have to choose between comfort and nature

A holiday with your dog is definitely easier when, already at the booking stage, you choose a place prepared to welcome a four-legged guest.

Rosevia Resort & SPA in Rozewie is located right by the Baltic Sea, surrounded by beech forest and coastal walking trails. A direct path to the beach leads from the resort grounds, while Karwia, Dębki, Białogóra and the Hel Peninsula are all within a short distance.

If you would like to come with your dog, check the stay conditions at Rosevia Resort & SPA before booking. Your pet’s stay requires prior notification, allowing the resort to prepare a suitable apartment and the necessary accessories.

Come to the Baltic coast with your pet and discover the shoreline at your own pace.
