Rozewie Cape is a place known to almost everyone who has ever been to Jastrzębia Góra. It is here that the famous Rozewie lighthouse is located - one of the most distinctive points of the Polish coast and at the same time an area considered the northernmost part of Poland.
For many people, it is a must-visit spot for a walk, but it is worth knowing that Rozewie is more than just the lighthouse. There are cliffs, forest paths, views of the Baltic Sea, and walking trails that look especially beautiful outside the peak season.
What is visiting the lighthouse like? When is the best time to come? Is the climb difficult and what can you see in the area?
This is one of the things that most often surprises tourists: there are actually two lighthouses in Rozewie.
This lighthouse is the most famous and visible in photos. It was commissioned in 1822 and is considered the oldest lighthouse on the Polish coast.
It is about 32 meters tall, and the light is located over 80 meters above sea level thanks to its position on a high cliff.
Inside operates the Lighthouse Museum, where you can see, among others:
This is the lighthouse you can enter during tours.
The second lighthouse was built later, in 1875. The reason for its construction was difficult weather conditions - one lighthouse was not always enough for safe ship navigation.
Today, Rozewie II no longer serves the classic function of a lighthouse and is not open for regular visits, but it remains an interesting element of the landscape.
In practice, most tourists visit Rozewie I, but it is worth knowing where the name "Rozewie Lighthouses" comes from.
Opening hours vary seasonally, so it is worth checking current information before your trip.

It is the area that makes many people spend more time here than planned.
One of the most distinctive parts of the coast in this area.
The high cliff offers a great view of the Baltic Sea, especially with stronger winds and winter light. In autumn and winter, the place has a completely different atmosphere than in summer - more austere and calm.
It is a very good place for a walk at sunrise or sunset.
Although the exact geographic point is somewhat further, Rozewie has long been symbolically considered the "most northerly point of Poland."
This is one of the most frequently photographed spots in the area.
This is definitely the best way to get to the lighthouse.
Route:
The path goes through the forest and partly along the cliff, making the walk itself an attraction.
If you are staying at Rosevia Resort & SPA, you can complete the route practically without using a car.
A small but characteristic spot near the lighthouse. It fits well into the coastal atmosphere of Rozewie and often appears in tourists' photos.
This is a more natural and quieter part of the coast than the central beach in Jastrzębia Góra.
During the season, access to the beach is available, although it should be remembered that during storms or strong erosion, some parts may be temporarily closed.
A walk from the center of Jastrzębia Góra or from around Rozewie is definitely the most pleasant option.
Along the way, you will almost constantly enjoy views of the forest and the sea.
This is a very popular option during the season.
The route is easy and calm, so it is suitable even for less experienced people. There is also a bike rental service in the area.
There is a parking lot near the lighthouse, but it fills up quickly during the holidays.
The cost is usually around 10-20 PLN, but during the season, walking or cycling are simply more convenient.
Yes, although it is worth planning the visit well. The most important thing: climbing the lighthouse requires ascending 127 steps.
Therefore:
The view from the top definitely makes the effort worthwhile - especially in good weather.
It is in winter that you can best feel the character of this place.
This is one of the greatest advantages of this area. Nearby are:
Thanks to this, even a short stay offers many possibilities for walks and trips. If you are looking for a quiet accommodation close to the lighthouse, it is worth checking out apartments 3 km from Rozewie.
Yes, but opening hours are limited and depend on the weather.
127 steps lead to the viewing terrace.
No, only Rozewie I is regularly open to visitors.
About 3 km on foot along the coastal trail.
Definitely yes, especially if you like places that combine history, nature, and a peaceful coastal atmosphere. It is not an "all-day" attraction, but it very well shows the character of this part of the coast. And the walk along the cliff and the view of the Baltic from above remain in memory much longer than the visit to the lighthouse itself.
